Heres a quick look at our Halloween 2012....
Dezmond was a skeleton by day...
Tiger by night....
Evareaux was Minnie (The sunglasses were her own personal touch.)...
Nakiah was some ninja skeleton scary thingie...
As predicted, Aidan was an almost 16 year old boy... :)
(He lamented about halfway through that he wouldn't be enjoying any candy.)
This was by far the most fun she's had for Halloween thus far. She held her brothers hand and went confidently door to door and stood there with her bucket out... sometimes for such and awkwardly long time that people threw in one or two extra candies to get rid of her.... strategy? :)
Nakiah was so good at going at her pace (even though I knew he wanted to join his friends right behind us) He held her hand and was polite at each house.... and didn't complain about the COLD.... people kept laughing at what an odd pair they were....
It was misting the whole time and 35 degrees or so. We were kinda (to say the least) cold.... but didn't mind. It felt like Halloween. That was missing last year in CA when we trick-or-treated, it was in the eighties....
Glad I handed over the camera and requested a photo with my kids (well, 3 of the 4... will I EVER get a photo with all of them now that there are 4?!) ... LOVE that the littles are busy eyeing the next driveway.
All in all a successful Halloween in KY. I was glad it didn't snow so that the kids could actually be out (we lasted a little over an hour). We missed family since the kids typically have cousins to trick or treat with... but we made it fun in our own way, and the kids collected lots of candy, so there was no complaining there. Now I get to focus on the next holiday, in which we will have LOTS of family visiting to help us celebrate. Can't wait! (Anyone know how to cook a turkey? I should probably find out.)
